Greetings to all our meerkat fans around the world,

Fellow Earthlings' Wildlife Center is thrilled to announce the debut of a new 13 part documentary series called "MEERKAT MANOR" which premiers in the United States on Friday evening, June 9th on the Animal Planet Channel. (Please check your local listings for time.) The first program will run for one hour. Subsequent programs will run for 30 minutes and air each Friday evening. Additionally, we are pleased to announce that Animal Planet chose our Director, Pam Bennett-Wallberg, to be their spokesperson for this extraordinary series.

Described as "All My Children" meets "Wild Kingdom," this captivating series follows the meerkats of the Whiskers Mob in their daily struggles and triumphs in southern Africa's Kalahari Desert. The series was filmed over the course of a 10 year Cambridge University study and it captures the meerkats' every move: from family feuds, to wars with rival mobs, and secret love affairs worthy of a Shakespearean tale. It is a compelling and addictive series that highlights the vivid personalities of the Whiskers Mob members - brave, loyal, bossy, loving, rebellious, mischievous, and utterly adorable.

Pam is featured on Animal Planet's website, narrating a series of mini-topics about meerkats. - See it now!

The website also includes a "family tree" of the Whiskers Mob, meerkat quizzes, puzzles, and excellent information about the species we all know and love. - Check it out!

Animal Planet also, very graciously, included information about Fellow Earthlings' Wildlife Center on their website. - Check it out!

We, at Fellow Earthlings' Wildlife Center, had the great pleasure of previewing MEERKAT MANOR. We promise you will be delighted and dazzled by this exceptional and fascinating series!

Pam has been fortunate to spend extended periods of time studying meerkats in Africa. On her first trip she was invited to join a team of nine zoologists from Cambridge University who were studying several mobs in the southernmost part of the Kalahari Desert. Pam was actually at the site where "MEERKAT MANOR" was filmed and had the pleasure of interacting with some of the "starring" meerkats.

Animal Planet is arranging various radio, television, and print interviews for Pam to publicize the series. (What fun to talk about her favorite subject!)

We wanted you, our cherished adoptive parents and donors, to be the first to know about the "MEERKAT MANOR" series, and Fellow Earthlings' role in partnering with Animal Planet for this unprecedented look into the lives of meerkats. We hope you will visit Animal Planet's creative, interactive website and watch their innovative and provocative series starring our favorite critters on the planet!
